Perform a wide variety of administrative and managerial duties for the Fire Department, including Fire Marshall duties; to supervise and serve as chief field officer in directing the response, readiness and activities of multiple fire companies; and to provide administrative support to the Fire Chief.



Five years of increasingly responsible experience comparable to that of a Battalion Chief with past work experience.


Equivalent to an Associate of Arts degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in fire sciences, fire administration, public administration, business administration or a related field.

Greens Keeper I

Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon (Full Time)


Under the direction of the supervisor, perform a variety of entry level grounds maintenance, landscaping and repair work associated to the golf course, sites. Perform tasks involving the care and maintenance of greens, fairways, traps, tees, shrubbery and other areas of the golf course in order to maintain acceptable appearance and meet golfing standards. Work involves operation and preventive maintenance of golf course with heavy equipment. Operate triplex greens mower, walking and triplex riding power mower, self-propelled varticut machine and other equipment. Assist other maintenance personnel in the performance of duties.

  • One to two years of general laborer/maintenance experience working on a golf course or landscaping preferred.
  • Valid California Driver License and insurable on company policy.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
Salary: $14/hourly

School Nurse

School Nurse -

Morongo School (Full Time)


Under the direction of the Education Administrator, implement and supervise the health services. Provide nursing services as part of a designated program. Develop treatment plans and training to educate participants of the program.


Incumbents must possess a license to practice as a Registered Nurse issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing. A minimum of one year of supervised experience as a public health or pediatric nurse and should be a licensed Registered Nurse issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Health Services discipline, combined with at least two years of professional level experience in Health Services, preferably in a social service environment.
Current training/certification requirements to teach Infant/Child CPR and First Aid. Valid California Driver’s license.

Salary: Depends on Experience (DOE)


Firefighter -

Fire Department (Full Time)


Under the direction of the Fire Captain, protect life and property through fire suppression, fire prevention and emergency medical aid in response to fire alarms, medical calls and other emergency situations on the Morongo reservation and enterprises. Maintain firefighting equipment in proper working condition. Participate in extensive training activities to enhance firefighting abilities. Provide further assistance in related duties as required.

  • Must have EMT-B
  • Hazmat FRO
  • CPR card
  • First Aid card
  • CSFM Fire Academy or Firefighter I certification
  • Valid California Commercial Class B Firefighters restricted driver’s license with good driving record.
  • Must be insurable on company policy.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Supplemented by graduation from a State Certified Fire Academy or CFSM FF1 required.

Fire Engineer

Fire Department (Full Time)


Under the direction of the Fire Captain, responsible for performing a variety of fire fighting, emergency medical service (EMS), fire prevention, hazardous materials and rescue work associated with structures, wildland areas, automobiles, and other identified tribal holdings and concerns. The Fire Engineer serves as a member of the fire fighting team, performing duties related to the protection of life, the environment and property. The Fire Engineer drives and operates fire apparatus and equipment and may direct the actions of his/her assigned team during emergency situations.

  • High School Diploma or GED; 2 yrs experience as Firefighter or above
  • Exposure to wildland fire suppression
  • CA State Fire Marshal Certificates: Firefighter I and/or II, S-190 Intro To Wildland Fire Behavior; I-200 Incident Command System

Land Surveyor Technician

Realty (Full Time)


Under the direction of the Realty Land Surveyor, engage in a variety of land survey related tasks, including but not limited to office research, compilation, processing, calculating and analyzing of data as well as producing written legal descriptions, AutoCAD drawings and exhibits for projects together with in-the-field land survey tasks including investigation and measurement of boundary, measurement of physical features and land surfaces for final boundary and topographic mapping purposes and land survey related construction services.

  • Understands or is willing to learn principles of algebra, geometry and trigonometry as used in land survey calculations.
  • Ability to communicate to others in oral and written word.
  • Ability to work independently in the office and in the field, eventually with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient with personal computers, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Teams, Zoom and other software.
  • Experience or willingness to learn (at possible own expense and/or time) AutoCAD, a drafting utility software
  • An understanding promotion within this position requires a (LSIT) California Land Surveyor in Training certification, (LS) California Land Surveyor’s License and (Cfeds)
  • Experience in surveying and mapping highly beneficial.
  • Higher education in the field of Geomatics, Surveying, Geography, or related field beneficial and preferred.

Serve as a liaison between school educators, Tribal students and parents in support of individual students’ education. Provide instructional assistance to students.


Ability to tutor/teach all subjects K-12th grade.
Applicant must have strong math skills including Algebra I, II, and Geometry.
Strong English and writing skills are required.
High School Diploma supplemented by 2 years of college is required. Previous experience working with students in an educational setting required.
