Land Surveyor Technician

Description

Under the direction of the Realty Land Surveyor, engage in a variety of land survey related tasks, including but not limited to office research, compilation, processing, calculating and analyzing of data as well as producing written legal descriptions, AutoCAD drawings and exhibits for projects together with in-the-field land survey tasks including investigation and measurement of boundary, measurement of physical features and land surfaces for final boundary and topographic mapping purposes and land survey related construction services.

Qualifications
  • Understands or is willing to learn principles of algebra, geometry and trigonometry as used in land survey calculations.
  • Ability to communicate to others in oral and written word.
  • Ability to work independently in the office and in the field, eventually with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient with personal computers, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Teams, Zoom and other software.
  • Experience or willingness to learn (at possible own expense and/or time) AutoCAD, a drafting utility software
  • An understanding promotion within this position requires a (LSIT) California Land
  • Surveyor in Training certification, (LS) California Land Surveyor’s License and (Cfeds)
  • Experience in surveying and mapping
    highly beneficial.
  • Higher education in the field of Geomatics, Surveying, Geography, or related
    field beneficial and preferred.
  • Valid California driver’s license and insurable on company policy

Description

The Archivist is responsible for the access to, professional care, daily management, maintenance of the archives including its organization, preservation, of historical documents and records. The archivist refines, implements, and upholds archival policies and procedures with regard to processing, documenting and accessing archival collections. Support library in aiding library patrons as part of the team support. Liaison for cultural awareness of Morongo’s history to schools, surrounding areas and community. Assist with workshops; and work together with responsibilities for Cultural events – Morongo Cultural Day’s, Pow-Wow, and Rodeo.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree with three (3) plus years’ experience in creating and maintaining computer archives and database; preserving and maintaining documents, objects, paper records, photographs, and historical records, oral interviews; anything that is of historical value.
  • Or Bachelor degree  with one (1) plus years’ experience in creating and maintaining computer archives and database; preserving and maintaining documents, objects, paper records, photographs, and historical records, oral interviews; anything that is of historical value.
  • Valid California Driver’s License and insurability on Morongo’s vehicle policy.
  • Qualified Indians will be given preference in employment as required by the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (24 U.S.C. 450, et seq.) and other relevant laws.

Description

Serve as a liaison between school educators, Tribal students and parents in support of individual students’ education. Provide instructional assistance to students.

Qualifications

Ability to tutor/teach all subjects K-12th grade.
Applicant must have strong math skills including Algebra I, II, and Geometry.
Strong English and writing skills are required.
High School Diploma supplemented by 2 years of college is required. Previous experience working with students in an educational setting required.

Salary: $14.64/hourly
