Instructional Program Liasison -

Morongo School (Full Time)


Serve as a liaison between school educators, Tribal students and parents in support of individual students’ education. Provide instructional assistance to students.

  • Ability to tutor/teach all subjects K-12th grade.
  • Applicant must have strong math skills including Algebra I, II, and Geometry.
  • Strong English and writing skills are required.
  • High School Diploma supplemented by 2 years of college is required. Previous experience working with students in an educational setting required.

Pro Shop Attendant -

Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon (Part Time)


Under the direction of the Golf Operations General Manager, receives cash from customers or employees in payment for goods or services; merchandise all items within the Pro Shop; check-in players for tee-times; set tee times; assist with tournaments; provide five –star customer service; and other duties as needed.

  • Available and flexible to work a varied schedule of morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  • Communication skills to tactfully and diplomatically deal with the public and staff.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Golf course experience, knowledge of golf rules, and/or golfer preferred.

Environmental Specialist I -

Environmental (Full Time)


Under the direction of the Environmental Department Manager, the Environmental Specialist I is responsible for carrying out the objectives of the Morongo Environmental Protection Department including entry-level tasks under the Tribal Air, Tribal Water, Resource Conservation, and Pollution Prevention Programs. Activities may include monitoring equipment maintenance, data collection/management, recycling and hazardous wastes management, education/outreach activities, and environmental surveys to ensure compliance with federal and tribal environmental regulations and policies.

  • Previous experience working on environmental protection issues preferred but not required.
  • Must have strong writing abilities and must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Willing to learn/grow within the department.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Must have a CA driver license and be insurance on company policy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies/Sciences, Geography, Natural Sciences, Computer Science, or a related field required.

Job Developer -

TANF Banning (Full Time)


Under the direction of the Site Manager, identifies and develops job opportunities to assist Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program participants in finding and retaining employment; develops and facilitates job readiness activities to strengthen employment skills, and matches participant skills, work experience, related training and interests with local employers.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Human Services or related field
  • Minimum of two years increasingly responsible experience in a social services setting required;
  • Employment and training experience preferred.
  • Experience may be substituted for required education;
  • Prior experience providing social services to the Native American community will be in considered.

Under the direction of senior management, plan, organize, control and direct the operations and activities for designated convenience store; Manages fuel and food service activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Social Services Executive Director -

Social Services (Full Time)


Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, plan, organize and direct the overall operations and activities of Social Services, Substance Abuse Prevention, and Child and Family Services, programs and departments; coordinate and direct personnel, resources and communications to meet identified Tribal community and social service needs and assure smooth and efficient activities; supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.

  • Minimum 8 years of increasingly responsible experience in community and/or social services.
  • Experience with budgets and grants. ·
  • Availability to administer and follow grants regulations.
  • Previous experience in a managerial capacity in a larger municipality or agency preferred.
  • Must have proven management experience with the ability to oversee multiple departments.
  • Must have a valid CA Driver License and be insured on company policy.

Gate Officer -

Tribal Police Department (Part Time)


Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform security and safety verification for all vehicles, Tribal members, visitors, vendors and Tribal personnel entering and exiting the Morongo Reservation. May serve as dispatcher for Reservation Patrol Department; maintain computer generated dispatch logs and utilize proper radio transmission protocols.

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Ability to pass a stringent background is required.
  • Candidates will go through a computer skills assessment.
  • Ability to type using a computer keyboard
  • Must have knowledge in the use of Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to use two-way radio
  • Previous security experience preferred
  • A current BSIS Guard Card is required.
  • Must obtain First Aid/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.

Water Systems Operator -

Water Department (Full Time)


Incumbent will perform a variety of journey level skilled tasks in the following areas: Installation and maintenance of water appurtenances and distribution system including: motors, pumps, water plant facilities utilizing SCADA control, participating in rotational stand-by On Call, provide customer service, performs as a lead worker, operates heavy equipment and related tools.

  • Knowledge of motorized equipment (loaders, backhoes, dump truck). Skilled level in procedures and techniques used in the installation, maintenance and repairs of water related appurtenances.
  • Two (2) to three (3) years water related experience preferred.
  • Must have class B Commercial license at time of hire or able to obtain within 6 months hire.
  • Must be insurable on company policy.
  • Must posses and maintain a valid State of CA Water Distribution Grade 1 or 2 (or AWWA, ITCA) at time of hire or be able to obtain Grade 2 Water Distribution license within 12 months.
  • Must have State of CA and/or ITCA Water Treatment Grade 1 at time of hire or within the following testing cycle.

Firefighter Paramedic -

Fire Department (Full Time)


Under the direction of the Fire Captain, protect life and property through fire suppression, fire prevention and emergency medical aid. Respond to fire alarms, medical calls and other emergency situations on the Morongo reservation and enterprises. Maintain firefighting equipment in proper working condition. Participate in extensive training activities to enhance firefighting abilities. Provide further assistance in related duties as required.

  • Valid CA Class C drivers or Class C Firefighter license and insurable on company policy.
  • Valid Hazardous Materials First Responder Operational (FRO) Certificate or able to obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Valid Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic Certification (EMT-P).
  •  Valid American Heart Association or American Red Cross Healthcare Provider level CPR certification.

Substitute Teacher Assistant -

Morongo School (On-Call)


Responsible for assisting in the care and supervision of students, as well as the delivery of learning activities for students at various grade-levels. These activities will take place in classrooms, on playgrounds, during bus loading and unloading, and with other school related tasks, as assigned. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, receiving and signing in children, creating documents and reports, and performing simple clerical duties.

    • Selected candidates will be required to obtain valid First Aid and CPR certification after offer of employment.
    • Knowledge of Basic principles and practices of elementary school education.
    • Possession of good oral and written communication skills is essential.
    • Knowledge of basic subjects taught in school: including, but not limited to, arithmetic, grammar, spelling, language arts and reading is required.

Morongo Travel Center (Full Time)


Assists manager in management of automobile service station and convenience store and, in the manager’s absence, manages the store independently with minimal assistance from higher authority. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Morongo policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • A minimum of two (2) years previous supervisory and cash handling experience.
  • Six (6) months of gaming cashiering preferred. Flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be 21 years old.
  • A valid Food Handler Card and gaming license is required prior to starting work.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs required.

Substitute Teacher -

Morongo School (Full Time)


Under the direction of the Education Administrator, teach and instruct academic, social, behavioral and other related skill areas; plan, develop, organize and conduct a comprehensive education program for elementary grades 1-6, based on the curriculum outlined by the California Department of Education.

  • California credential authorizing the holder to teach in elementary grades; General Elementary, General Primary, Standard Elementary or Multiple Subject.
  • No Child Left Behind (NCLB) compliant.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency
  • Current TB test.
  • Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree or higher degree with emphasis in elementary education, instructional technology, and a subject matter field commonly taught in the elementary grades or closely related field, which meets credential requirements.

Player Services Attendant -

Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon (Part Time)


Serve members and guests by maintaining golf cart and range conditions and attending to golf bags. Greet all members and guests; provide instruction on proper cart handling and the loading of clubs on the golf carts, as needed. Ensure an adequate level of range balls; collect, clean and deliver balls; rotate mats; ensure functioning of lighting equipment, and tee alignment; maintain clean water in club cleaner and ball washer. Other duties include trash removal, golf ball picking, culling of cracked or damaged range balls.

  • The ability to operate the following equipment: golf cart, golf ball picker, ball washer, ball dispenser, pressure washer and golf cart jack.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills are required for this position.
  • Valid California Driver’s License and ability to be insured on Company’s insurance policy required

Public Safety Officer II -

Public Safety (Full Time)


The Public Safety Officer II is an armed position responsible for protecting tribal assets in and around the casinos and provides for the safety, security and wellbeing of patrons and employees. Protects Tribal assets against loss or theft, and provide armed escorts as needed. Conducts gaming tables drops, chip fills, and asset escorts. Will provide security during the cash pulls. Stand assigned posts & respond to breaches of the peace. Enforce Policies & Procedures and criminal law & will assist outside law enforcement partnering agencies as required. Interact with patrons and team members in a positive, professional manner. Participate in continuous training programs including semi-annual firearms qualifications. May be assigned to specialized assignments and exterior public safety duties to include bike or vehicle patrol. Performs other public safety related duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to establish and maintain productive working relationship with co-workers and management and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have the ability to obtain a NIGC key license.
  • Must have strong reasoning and guest relations skills.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Candidate will have to provide his/her own firearm and duty gear (uniforms are provided).
  • Prior experience with a licensed Public Safety or Security company performing officer or guard duties; or prior military service performing military law enforcement or military security related duties; or a college degree in an administration of justice related field of study, or Public Safety related degree program preferred, BUT NOT REQUIRED.  Desirable candidates without experience will receive necessary training.
  • Prior law enforcement experience, or gaming agency experience is welcomed.

Observe casino gaming, via “closed-circuit television” to ensure compliance with NIGC rules and the Tribal Gaming ordinances. Assist casino/hotel operations with investigations when necessary.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified/sensitive information.
  • The employee must be competent with various PC based software programs and standard office equipment.
