Juvenile Healing to Wellness Case Manager

Tribal Government (Full Time)
Description

The primary role of the Court Case Manager is to work with clients referred and accepted in the Healing to Wellness Court, to assess their ongoing needs, coordinate services, and ensure compliance with program guidelines. This position will have frequent contact with the clients, service providers, and the team to ensure follow through is taking place.

Qualifications

  • Considerable knowledge of case management principles and practices; Drug Court organization, functions, responsibilities, and procedures; social services, community organizations and health services; chemical dependency, treatment modalities, crisis intervention and treatment resources, therapy and educational resources for youth in juvenile justice setting.

Grant Assistant

TANF Banning (Full Time)
Description

Under the direction of the TANF Site Manager, perform varied administrative duties related to accounting, purchasing, fiscal compliance and grant record keeping; support the Grant Specialist in the areas of accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and other fiscal management and internal control systems for Tribal TANF operations.

Qualifications
  • A broad knowledge of accounts payable procedures, general accounting controls and procedures, office methods, budget monitoring, and reconciliation, and a thorough knowledge of correct English, grammar, spelling and punctuation is required.
  • A working knowledge of budget preparation policies and procedures is desired.
  • A thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.

Legal Extern

Surveillance Technician

Description

Maintenance/Custodian

Description

Under the direction of the General Manager, perform the following tasks: clean the entire store, restrooms, slot area, and the outside restrooms; power washes the outside of the building, pump area and islands, the car wash and parking lots. Perform minor repairs to car wash, store and fuel pumps. Dispense propane and assist customers with R.V. dumping. Maintain maintenance logs daily.

Substitute Teacher Assistant

Description

Responsible for assisting in the care and supervision of students, as well as the delivery of learning activities for students at various grade-levels. These activities will take place in classrooms, on playgrounds, during bus loading and unloading, and with other school related tasks, as assigned. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, receiving and signing in children, creating documents and reports, and performing simple clerical duties.

Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Description

Under the direction of the Realty Administrator, engaged in a variety of land surveying projects, plans, coordinates and resolves problems related to survey functions; including but not limited to research, compile, process and analyze data as well as produce drawings and exhibits for projects. Tribal Affairs Assistant

Description

Under the direction of the Tribal Services Manager, provide administrative support for Tribal Affairs, the Enrollment Committee, the Election Committee, and fulfill requests of tribal members as appropriate. Assist Tribal Members with requests within the scope of the assistant’s ability. Maintain confidential Tribal Member files with all pertinent information regarding the Tribal Member and any information requested to be kept in a Tribal Member file by the Tribal Member. Work with other Morongo departments as authorized. Receipt and maintain confidential Tribal Member rolls and files. Coordinate incoming flow of communications and information for Enrollment Committee by sorting and logging incoming mail and taking telephone messages. Assist with Election Committee meetings.

Paratransit Driver

Under the direction of the Transportation Manager, incumbent will drive a Paratransit vehicle in the San Gorgonio Pass area to transport tribal elders, seniors 55+, students and persons with disabilities.The driver is required to push, pull and/or maneuver passengers and their wheelchair which can weigh between 200 – 450 lbs.

Player Services Attendant

Description

Serve members and guests by maintaining golf cart and range conditions and attending to golf bags. Greet all members and guests; provide instruction on proper cart handling and the loading of clubs on the golf carts, as needed. Ensure an adequate level of range balls; collect, clean and deliver balls; rotate mats; ensure functioning of lighting equipment, and tee alignment; maintain clean water in club cleaner and ball washer. Other duties include trash removal, golf ball picking, culling of cracked or damaged range balls.

Qualifications

Public Safety Officer II

Description

The Public Safety Officer II is an armed position responsible for protecting tribal assets in and around the casinos and provides for the safety, security and well being of patrons and employees. When required will be responsible for armed escorts and other public safety duties as assigned.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

– Protect Tribal assets against loss or theft, and provide armed escorts as needed.
– Stand assigned posts.
– Provide security during the cash pulls.
– Conduct gaming tables drops, chip fills, and asset escorts.

Victims of Crime Project Attorney

Description

The Morongo Victims of Crime Project Attorney is an experienced attorney who will provide civil legal assistance to nuisance, domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and dating violence victims in cases relating to their victimization. The Morongo Victims of Crime Project seeks to ensure the rights of all individuals to a safe and secure environment and to empower those who are being oppressed by reducing trauma and ending re-victimization resulting in the protection of future generations. The Morongo Victims of Crime Project is a new grant project funded by the Department of Justice Office on Violence of Crime. The Morongo Victims of Crime Project will provide holistic legal assistance to victims of nuisance, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Morongo Victims of Crime Project will deliver a responsive system to victims with immediate access to legal services.
Part Time (Grant Funded)

Qualifications
  • Must have thorough knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to Indians; Must have a working familiarity of victims’ advocacy;
  • Must have excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills;
  • Must have a substantial understanding or experience working with or within Native American communities;
  • Must have the tolerance and patience to work with upset, frustrated, or impaired persons;
  • Must be willing to work directly with clients and assist with presentations geared toward the Tribal community;

Grant Manager

Tribal Government (Part Time)
Description

Incumbent is responsible for writing grants to local, state and federal agencies on behalf of Morongo Band of Mission Indians. Grant managers are responsible for selecting which funding entity best matches the goals of each project. When applying for a grant, they collaborate with staff to write proposals and letters of inquiry, communicate with granting agencies, track the status of requests and submit evaluation reports to contributors. The position will track grant reporting after Notice of Award and assist managers in completing progress reports

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), OMB Circulars and Public Administration, with emphasis on fiscal management, fund accounting, and government finance is required.
  • Current Driver License and insurability on Morongo insurance policy.

Dispatcher

Tribal Government (Full Time)
Description

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform dispatch communications services and appropriate emergency notification assistance for the Morongo Band of Mission Indians and its residents, government facilities/staff, and the Morongo’s business interests. Serve as a communication link in emergency situations until the situation is resolved; answer overflow emergency and non-emergency calls; provide emergency dispatch self-help; and make notification calls to staff, and other agencies on incidents as needed.

Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated skill with presenting and summarizing information in a variety of written formats, using clear and concise language.
  • Must have experience working on computers and type a minimum of 35 wpm with a minimal amount of errors.
  • Must be flexible to work rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, weekends and willing to come into work when called upon during scheduled days off.

Qualifications
  •  Minimum of one (1) year of related experience or training in the custodial arts.
  • Valid CA Driver’s License and be insurable on the company policy.
  • Must be able lift/push up to 50 lbs and stand up to 8 hrs.
  • Able to work flexible hours.
  •  High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred

Cook II

Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon (Full Time)
Description

Under the direction of the F&B Manager, prepares food/menu items (hot and cold) for guest consumption utilizing approved recipes, cooking methods and ingredients; prepare food for the line and buffet production; responsible for all prepared food production and menu item preparation; maintains all food, equipment and kitchens to set health codes and golf course standards; cook meals for the Golf Course restaurant and special events.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of two to four years experience as a Line Cook/Cook II in a full service dining establishment or food service establishment with a minimum one year experience in a specialty area i.e., broiler, sauté or wok cooking.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Riverside County Food Handlers Card.
  • Candidate needs to be flexible and available to work mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
Salary: Starting at $15.00/hourly

Bartender

Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon (Part Time)
Description

Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems. Issue, open, and serve wine and champagne. Set up and maintain the cleanliness and condition of bar, bar unit, tables, glasses, dishes and other tools. Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks. Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies. Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs. Provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications
  • Ability to tactfully and diplomatically deal with customers and staff
  • Knowledge of all phases of beverage administration, cost control, and familiarity of all beverage services required
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential.
  • Valid Food Handler Card is required prior to starting work
  • Bartending license/certificate preferred
  • Availability to work nights and weekends, flexibility with scheduling
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
